Air Pump Missing?

Hello all, not been on a while as i have been busy rebuilding my engine myself, something i really enjoyed doing and i would certainly do it again! (only a few minor issues such as a bad o2 sensor that caused me a run around & a bad vaccum tank that stopped the tiptronic cooling which eventually killed the box)

Whilst studying various pictures and diagrams during the rebuild i noticed that the air pump on the left hand side of the engine bay is missing and a few Porsche specialists have also commented on it too.

I'm in the UK so its obviously UK spec. i get no CEL and it runs fine but is it supposed to have one?

The air pump is for the emissions control system, if you don't have don't worry about it. Many people have removed theirs on older NA cars without issue, meaning no CEL and passed emission tests.
