cold Air intake
EVOMS intake is going to be the best option as far as a "cold air intake" goes if you decide to purchase a kit. I sell them all the time at work. There is also nothing wrong with making your own as stated on the first page.
As far as power goes, there really is not much to be gained from the intake aside from a little bit better flow, looks, and sound; hp gains are very minimal on N/A cars when it comes to intakes.

Is anybody aware of a box that could be used in combo with the Eurocup intake that would seal it off from the hot air and channel the cold air in from the snorkel(s)? That seems like that has the potential to be a pretty effective set-up.
this by far is the best looking intake there is for the 996 NA. If I had not gone the FI route this would have been on my car. When I researched it a while back this was not available in the states you just had to have it shipped here. I wonder if there is now a dealer for it here in the US.
Recieved the Fabspeed MaxFlo Competition Intake for my birthday yesterday. It's a really good looking bit of kit (maybe not as good as Mikes). It compliments my Fabspeed exhuast nicely.

I did measure the air intake temps and once you are moving over 45 mph it's within 5 degrees or less of the outside ambient temp. It does feel like I have improved throttle response. The grunt over 5K RPM is pretty wicked. All in all I'm pretty happy with it.

The V-Flow pulls out cool air from the engine lid, which makes way more sense to me. I'm not after or expecting large power gains b/c everyone knows you can only do so much with a N/A engine. Im going the suspension route with my modifications on my Carerra as its plenty fast. Now if this snow would melt away...(live in Minnesota).
