Reliability and Lemons
Last November I bought a 996 Cab, Meridian, from Pacific. Got a smokin deal on the car since I am a former car co. exec and my buddy works for Porsche.
The car burned 18 quarts of oil in 4 mos. They yanked the engine and put in another. Then the car ran like it was on 2 cyls. Car has been in and out of dealer, over 60 days. I just gave it back.
I have a dead bang lemon law case. Porsche may make me an offer on a C4Cab. Should I trade up? Are these cars reliable? This will be my daily driver. All comments are appreciated. I'm worn out by my past horrible experience, but don't know what else to buy in this class of car.

I've never had any reliability issues (then again, I don't keep them very long
), but, there a lot of people on the board that do use them as daily drivers and I think they are quite pleased. If you like the car and can get past the bad experience, I would definately get another.
