Other Forums... why?

I am curious why the same people from this forum post the same threads to other forums like Rennlist, fun cars, ect. (I am guilty too) Coming from the cult like enthusiast group that follows the Porsche 968. Our online gatherings were heavily concentrated on 968.net's forums. All of us would read Rennlist from time to time but the 968.net forums are always active posts are pretty consistent. Is that other forums get different traffic?

I really enjoy the community 6Speed has created this forum is very easy to use, clean graphics and colors that are easy on the eyes. I think this forum has lots of potential, I know I have been spreading the word. Just wanted to say thanks to the guys who put the site together.

Just wanted to say thanks and show my support.

Thanks very much for the support! It's members like you why we started this place back in July! All the other board seem to provide a unique niche but I feel we have tied it all together here on 6speed with the right sponsors, admins., and quality members....

Thanks again to all of you guys

No problem...I am a post *****! I am 1 of 5 lifetime members on 968.net post based. I have been responsible for arranging and managing many of the group buys, and putting togeather West Coast meets. I hope to contribute as much as possible.

Thanks again.

To be honest, I am testing all three forums ( Rennlist, 6Speed and Flat6 ) and probably soon I will addict myself to one only, but for the moment I personally post in all the 3 sometimes.

I echo these sentiments! It seems as if one of the other boards that I've frequented for many months has developed somewhat of an attitude. Plus, the TT forum is the busiest and best of them all.

Thank you and great work guys!

ESK ha ha I know which forum you are speaking of and I know exactly what your talking about! I can see this forum evolving into the type of board we have at 968.net I have made lifetime friends over there that would go extra mile for just about anyone that participates. I know of a few guys that have driven over 100 miles to look at a car for a member. I am glad I am not the only person with these feelings.

Wow that was your 968! I loved that car! I saw it a ways back on the net and fell in love with it! I should have bought it for an extra toy!

Yeah lots of people wanted to buy it... A car collector up in Fresno has it sitting in a hanger with a bunch of other toys. He was gitty like a school girl when he picked it up. Drove down from Frsno in with his enclosed trailer spent a few hours with me going over the car and turned around at 1am and drove straight through. He said he was so excited that when he got home he immediatley unloaded and then went for a ride!

It was a blast building her... but I was ready for a change.

I got tired of flat6 real quick because of the imature kids/adults that seem to be all over that forum. Rennlist seems to be too agressive at times but they have a large following for the air cooled wonders. Hopefully in time 6SpeedOnline will have a larger air cooled crowd.

Even though I am not a huge fan of the water cooled P-cars, I still have to come here every day and read up on whats going on. I love all Porsche's .....well not all, but most. This is a very nice site...thanks to all the admins and members.

6 Speedonline Rocks and without a doubt is the best but I was a regular at a different site before 6 speed was online. This may be the same for others who look back from time to time.

Personally I have just returned to the UK from six weeks travelling USA and Australia, and it was good to see the new posts. But, also new people and welcoming these is a reasonable thing to do.

I tend to only post on here, else it confuses people with replies if questions are littered all over the internet.

A very good question...

...and I cross post a lot as I have found that there are some folks who don't frequent this board (the shame!). I have to come to enjoy this board and rely upon the information that is provided by so many great, knowledgable people here. However, as I discovered this weekend at my drive, one gentleman found out about this weekends festivities from the 'other' board (of which I frequent and enjoy thus far). I'll apologize now if I annoy anyone with my cross posting , but I have to say, I'm glad I do/did...as I met a very nice 996'r and his wife. (Oh whom I told about this board as well!)

Robyn

Same here. This by far is the best forum on the web.

Hey Sandoval, sometimes it's good to be a *****... Consider this the brothel of substance
