Anyone know how different the 997 side markers are from the 996? I found some really nice side markers but they only make them for the 997. Probably a dumb question,just curious.

 

No chance, totally different shape. The angle part by the front of the car is in different directions for the two. Also the metal clip that holds it in is different. I upgraded to a 997 style bumper for my 996 and had to buy the 997 specific side markers as my 996 one would not fit anymore.

I was looking for a chrome housing to match my LED headlights.

 

You already may have checked these ones out, but after a exhaustive search, these ones were the closest that came to looking like the 997.
