I have a special project where I'm using a non-gt 997 trans. I've had a real hard time finding info on just which joint this transmission uses. I bought some 944 axles which were the right length, but the joints themselves didn't fit.

In my research I started seeing 934/5 joints too. What joint does the 996/7 use? Can someone add some clarification please? thankyou.

 

The part number you're looking for if I'm understanding your question correctly is 99633203000 for the inner CV joints. It's used on the 996/997 Carreras, and some 987s. Hope this helps and the project is going along smoothly.

 

Ok, did some measuring and found that the 996/7 inner CV is a 930. it's 108mm dia 28 spline. I'm going to order an EMPI 930 kit.

My project is a 65 Corvair, 997 trans, Corvette C5 rear suspension, LS1 engine. Here's the build thread. FYI I found a place that made me an axle stub with vette splines and 930 flange. For some reason I could not find someone to make a custom shaft for 930 inner and Vette outter.
