I would be more inclined to go with the Highline wheel....the Luffs, I don't like the offsets available....

Luffs: was it here on 6speedonline , or rennlist, I don't remember. There was a raging discussion about this brand. The sellers got into it with other members and had to defend their Taiwanese manufacture....

I don't have an issue with most high quality Taiwanese products, but with my Porsches and Bimmers, I still prefer European made stuff. It will take a long while, if ever, before I "dilute" the mix.

I'd be curious to know as well since I will be shopping for a set of rims later this year for my snow 18" tires I already have. Don't want to go through the mount/dismount hassle this year on my OEM rims.

I have a set of highline forged two peice bbs knockoffs that I use for snow and track tires, they are tuv approved and good quality. I got a complete set for 699, can't beat that, but you need to call down there directly and try to get past the first moron who aswers the phone. The manager will hook you up on a price. My car required 5mm spacers to clear the big reds. Ralph boothe has a good price on spacers and bolts, as does precision wheel or go the porsche tequipment route.

I personally like the second wheel, looks more agressive and would compliment the 996 perfectly.

The seller also carries another style with the mesh pattern. Here is a link to his store:

C4S Surgeon,

More details, for $700 bucks I'm set for snow wheels that's less than the cost of new tires.

Corey

luff.. im not gona talk anything about it...

teh other one.. id unno if it is just me.. but look at the crest/ center cap.. the color of the cap does not match teh wheel. look closely.. is this p shopped or an actual pic?

it would be nasty to have a wheel and not have the center cap match it...

The Luff have a ridiculous offset for a narrow body. I got into with the guy selling them here and no one outside of the vendors ever said whether they fit or not. I guess they don't...

Corey, I called the guys there directly asking about the rims on ebay for 'buy now 699', cast turbo twist knockoffs, the manager (?Steve) said he would sell me the forged two peice bbs style knockoffs for the same price, I took him up on it and am quite happy with them. They may be up to 799 now but still a bargain.
