IMS and RMS, What Else Preventative?

Finally getting around to doing this job. The car is otherwise healthy and performing. Is there anything else I should do while I have the car on the lift and apart?

Thanks.

Clutch, AOS, different oil filter kit if that's your preference. Not related to this job, but the front strut mount bearings are known to be wonky.

The water pump on the 996 should be considered a "wear item". Many people recommend replacing them on regular intervals, although there isn't a recommended schedule. Apparently the plastic impeller blades can become brittle, break and find their way into the engine, and could block small coolant passages inside the engine. If you're still running your original water pump, I would replace it.

Clutch affirmative.

Is it markedly easier to get to the AOS with the transaxle out (I'm not intending on pulling the engine.) Would I still have to pull the plenums or can it all be accessed from the front of the engine?

Looks like you have a good list. I'd add the coolant expansion tank. If it's yellow its brittle and can crack easily. Happened to me and the only symptom was coolant dripping on the exhaust on the left side of the car.
