Pricing assistance

I could use some help in determining a fair price for an '01 C2. I am looking to sell the car and the range seems 23-28+. It's a great car no issues, all service and some upgrades with just under 60k miles. 6 speed black on black. I know this isn't the ""for sale" section but need help setting a fair price

list it at 29,900 and take 28. Or, don't sell it at all and stay happy !

Your range looks pretty accurate for a very clean car... Though IMHO anything like $28K is the very top of the market.

To command that price, I'd say you need most of these attributes:
  • Car pristine inside and out?
  • 60K service done?
  • IMS guardian or bearing installed?
  • Clutch replaced?
  • Fresh tires?
  • Upgraded wheels or suspension?
  • Desirable options (eg: sport seats, aero kit, full leather)?
  • Strong local market?
  • Clean Carfax?

Personally, I don't think I'd go over $25K for a Mk-I (pre-2002) 996 unless it was just an absolute perfect car that had exactly some unusual and very desirable set of options or upgrades.

If it checks lets say half of the boxes above, probably more like a $22K to a knowledgable, patient buyer.

Most of the boxes yes, but you went from 25 to 22?

I guess I'm saying there are plenty of very nice Mk-I's for $22K, it would take a special car to be worth $25, and an incredibly special car to be worth $28K.

I've been looking a LOT lately and 21-25 depending on condition and options is where it will go. Obviously depends on how quick you need to sell it as to where you set your starting price. GLWS.
