need advice on upgrades
I just bought a 2003 911 C2 Aero, with Eisenmann exhaust, and Work Wheels. Upgraded from an 03 BMW 325 Ci Convertible. Car was one owner, no accidents, and never seen snow or race track.
I'm thinking of doing the following upgrades first but am totally open to everyone's recommendations.
Thinking; air intake (c-fiber twin pipe) , short shifter, ecu upgrade.
What brands or companies do you recommend. Don't want to over do Car. Don't want to race it, but treat her nice, and stretch her out once in a while.
Thanks boys.

Congrats!
Congratulations on the Porsche and perfect timing to bring in summer. Not sure what tires are mounted on the wheels you mentioned but suspension and tires are always key for any driving preference. We offer the tune you mentioned here at Fabspeed and depending on which setup your exhaust is now there are different options there also. Im always a PM or email, or call away to some good conversation and feedback/ opinion. Anytime...

Go with a short shifter, that will give the car a much better feel. Also coil-over suspension is a nice addition, I believe that for the price a ecu tune is not worth the cost, something like 8hp, stick to suspension and just tweaking what is already a good car.
We offer a few different options for a shift kit. For more information Click Here. Enjoy your new car and keep us updated. Take some pictures when you get a chance, would love to see it.

You've already got an upgraded exhaust, so that's nice. There are lots of cosmetic things you can do, like clear side markers, aluminum pedals, wheels, etc. There are also functional upgrades that you can do like aftermarket heated seats (unless you already have them), improved sound system/GPS, auto-dimming mirror with homelink, etc. And finally, there are performance upgrades. Suspension upgrades would be great, but they are pricey. I would love to lower my car a bit, but I live in the mountains and it simply isn't practical. I think a short shift kit is a nice, inexpensive upgrade. Personally, I am a believer in the ECU flash upgrade. I had the Evolution Motorsports ECU flash done to my C4S, and the difference was noticable, especially in the mid-range around 3,500 rpm. I'm really enjoying it. Personally, I don't like intake upgrades. I think they add a sound upgrade, but I'm skeptical about the claims of increased HP. It's a controversial topic. For everyone that has data showing a definitive increase in power, there's a naysayer who says that it actually decreases performance or does nothing. I don't know who is right and who is wrong.
Have fun modding your car. It's addictive.

Wow I really am a mod freak lol as I'm reading your post Denis I'm saying in my head "got it, got it, did it, have it.." its so true, once you start moding you can't stop. I have a bunch done to my C4s and can't stop.
One upgrade I LOVED and I notice it every time I get in the car is the sprint booster. By far the best bang for your buck.

I third the SSK. I put the 997 SSK from Suncoast in mine and so far its been the best thing ive done. Its a HUGE difference for just a lil bit o money. I also second the clear side markers if you havent done that yet. Very inexpensive and a 4 minute DIY. I would have suggested the exhaust, so thats nice of the previous owner did that for you.
Have fun, drive fast! Have you thought about GPS enabled radar detector? That may be the first and most important purchase!?!

I drove a C4S with an SSK and it was very hard to find the gates. I have had SSKs in other cars before and while they are nice, they either require more effort or make the gates harder to find, reducing some "feel" in the process. The stock 6 speed in the 911 is a sweet sweet one, I personally wouldn't screw with an SSK.
Suspension upgrades, yes. All the time.
