Question EVO or TPC SC'er owners out there!?......

How do you guys like your investments/blowers ? Any problems? And most importantly how well do they perform (any dyno and 1/4 mile tests would be highly appreciated) Any races against TT's or cars to set as benchmark on what a SC equipped 996 can beat in the straight line....I'm looking to do the plunge and spend $12000+ on a power mod so I want to be sure on what I'm doing.

...I had this similar thread on Rennlist but it seems that forum has far fewer members and is far less lively there altogether, thanks.

[begin disclosure]We are EVO's norcal installer/dealer[end disclosure] and over the course of the last 6-7months did about 8-9 if I remember right so of course take what I say with any kind of grain of salt. I've had todd's 997 Super Charged car here at the shop for a couple of months also and driven, gotten to know it extremely well. It's a pretty trick kit with the front mount, pump etc... and we have had a couple of hardcore track guys (literally go once twice per week) drive the living crap out of them if that helps I've never seen/driven the TPC one as I don't believe many kits have actually been sold. Beyond the pictures I've not seen any real evidence for or against it... It is a big step and change so find someone local that could give you a ride and that might help you decide one way or another.

Go with the TPC Supercharger. Call Tom Chan in sales he will send you dyno results. I have been to TPC a few times and watched them dyno a 996 with their new intercooler and it makes more power than a 2004 996 Twin Turbo! Call Tom Chan 410 7997223

I have an Evo SC on my 04 C4S. I love it. There is more power all across the power band.

Very reliable and no problems at all. The Evo package is more complete than TPC and there are not alot of TPC installations to judge reliability as well as the Evo.

This is not a do it yourself project. Hire a pro like 969 or Sharkwerks.

Go to Sharkwerks, he is the authorized SC dealer in the Bay Area. In fact 969 might have two used SC units for sale soon.

Good luck
