The difference in the exhaust??

Can anyone tell me why there are two different part#s for mufflers with Tiptronic and W/o for the 996?

The tiptronic ones I've seen all had the accordion section on the pipe. Either though will fit on both cars.

Thanks Alpine I'm Taking off my Fabspeed Exhaust And I got a pair off a 99 996 to put back in place of the Fabspeed and noticed there was a difference in part #s the mufflers havent arrived yet and that puts me to rest
