I think it looks great! The rear looks nice and fat and balances out the front bumper and side skirts. Good work. Let us know what you end up doing for the exhaust.

I would definitely add the spoiler. Just looks like something is missing. The AERO wing would look good too. That would really set it off. Looks great.

Thanks for the kind words. I will definitely look into the rear wing. The body shop warned me about some aftermarket GT2 wings he had installed in the past where they were quite flimsy. The car owner complained the wing rattled/vibrated when traveling along the highway. He eventually had it removed and reinstalled the deck spoiler.

I still like the GT2 wing as I think it complement the body kit quite well. I saw one on eBay from seller Florida Dismantler. I'm currently in contact with a buyer who purchased the wing to find out more on the finish and fitment. I'll know more in a couple of weeks when he completes the installation ..

Unfortunately, for the pipes, clamps and tips it'll probably cost around $600

I've called Suncoast Porsche looking to purchase the extension pipes. They only sell the extension pipes with the tips at about $800. I like the x50 style tips you suggested. I also contact the local dealership in Toronto ... same extension and tip combo at a higher price tag ... about $1200

I took my car to multiple muffler shops. The folks are saying the bend required are extremely tight, hence bending, cutting, and welding them to make the tight curve. They have recommended leaving the car with them for the day.

I'm thinking of holding off on the extension pipe job until I get the tips so that they can fabricate the pipe and align the tips correctly.

Hmmm, maybe I didn't order from Suncoast. Give pelican parts a call, someone can definitely sell you just the extension pipes and clamps without the OEM tips. I know this because I was able to.

You are so correct about finding a good rear spoiler. I ordered from Vertex, and it was not even installable. 3 shops just laughed at it. I was able to return it for a refund, but I would look a M.A. Shaw's spoilers. I have heard nothing but good things about his products. Duraflex may be one to look away from as well, from what I have heard.

I meant to post pics for you to see what those tips look like on a C2 with your same type of bumper but never got around to it till now. Here is mine.

turbo like rear bumper

Hi, do you still have bumper for sale? I have a 2001 996 narrow body, do you think it will fit?

I am however selling my turbo style rear bumper for 400 dollars. It's already painted black and fits my 2003 C2 without any modification to the stock exhaust. FedEx freight quoted me 200 for shipping. If you are interested, I may be a little flexible on the price. It is from Precision Porsche and is in perfect shape. Here is the listing to the ad in the Marketplace. PM me if you want to talk.

If you're successfull fitting the bumper, please post some pics !

I purchased the 997 tips and had my mechanic fabricate the connecting pipes. Ahh !!... still need a spoiler ... sooooo naked ..

Love those tips. They were my preferred choice as I was looking at a set on Kijiji but the seller was late in responding and I ended up with the standard 997 tips which I saw in Kijiji as well.

The rear bumper I have is made by Duraflex and it is a piece of crap. The overall finish is poor and the shop spent a lot of time to assemble and finish it. Even the finish product is rather disappointing and I 've decided to live with it. My front bumper is VIS and it is quite good ... fitment and finish.

I like the tips ! Now upgrade those tail lights! There are a few LED styles or you could use the later grey and red stock tail lights as well. Just my opinion though, your car looks great, nice work!

Snowball .. Give it time!! Rear spoiler first and then I'll look into the tail and head lights. They'll have to be replaced as a set.

Saw this GT2 style spoiler on eBay ... anyone had experience with these GRUPPE 2 spoiler? I'm so tempted as the price is very attractive as they are on sale for $674.25 shipped!!! They're more than 1/2 the price off MA SHAW and Precision Porsche spoilers which I've been watching ...
