Satin Black Porsche Crest

In the process of switching out my gold badge for a satin black one. I took a few pictures of the new badge sitting in place. I would complete the installation but decided to order new install hardware first (awaiting the speed nuts and seal). I have no affiliation with the seller but they are available on ebay for $45 or so (seller: 984TOW) . They look factory OEM in quality.

Thanks!

True on plasti however the plasti fills in a lot of artistic detail. I plasti dipped but wasn't satisfied with it so I went for the powder coated version. This is actually a 993 badge based on the part code.

I saw your silver interior work. Very impressive.

Black wheels...

I have the Carrera 2 5-spoke wheels. The tires are new and I like the ride quality / styling balance achieved with 18s vs. going up a size. Was thinking about powder coating them black but then I get into the (Matte vs. Satin vs. Gloss argument). I also think they look good in Graphite / Gun Metal... So I continue to debate and never act on this.

I like the idea of a black badge but not the intricate detail that would be bothersome to keep clean. I would like to see a clear plastic/polymer on it so its surface is flat. JMHO

Nice work, but I prefer the original version (in color). Just my taste. I also have a darker color car, so black wouldn't pop on it as much as it does on a white car.

They look especially good on a white car

It looks good but, for me, I would hate it on my car unless you were going for a complete monochrome look. This is obviously not the case as you have a white car.

Hard to tell from my pictures but my car is actually Arctic Silver. I'm really happy with the end results. Will get some more pictures up soon. I was thinking about going monochrome with silver crest and silver rear badging (Carrera) and decided to go black crest and no rear badging... (for now modding never ends)

Nice car, I can see how the satin black would compliment the silver of the car. As long as you like it, that is all that counts
