I've only seen one place who sells the modified steel fenders with the custom rails. But I haven't heard anyone used them, but their cars look good at least from their website.

which ever direction you go good luck. i thought about that for other model cars and in the end it takes a lot of work and if you can't do any of the work yourself like me as far as body work then i'm better off using that time to go make more money and upgrade to the later model that i like. i personally like the 1999-2000 996 with their boxster sharing headlights(no complaints here all car companies do this). it was a different move by porsche and i applaud them for it. now they are trying so hard to make it look like the old. to me it doesn't matter what porsche you have they all look great! post some pictures when you done. i'm sure it will look sexy.
