No offense taken at all. You pointed out a general statement that I made and you added the needed detail to it. We are on the exact same page.

I use a smaller gun for carry in my car Sig Sauer P232SL in glove box with CorBon rounds.
However, when I have carried my H&K or Sig Sauer P220 I shove into back pocket of pas anger seat.

Btw, my LWRC AR15 goes in the passenger seat

And to the anti gun Canadian see if you can guess what I'm thinking right now

HurdiGurdi is right. They make a holder for the manual that screws to the underside of the dash just below the steering column. I took mine out, that's how I know its a removable item. Perhaps you could order it or find one on ebay. I strongly suspect the area that mine was installed looks no different than on your car. It might be a bit to small for a .45 but a small .9 or a .38 would fit quite nicely. For the NON leo's who choose to carry illegally in their car, this location is not visible for anyone standing outside of the drivers door. I suspect it's also not visible from the passenger door but that would be a guess until I put it back in.

Just a wise crack. But seriously, an AR15 laying in your passenger seat does strike one as a bit un-gentleman like lol. Unless you put a seatbelt on it so it doesn't fly off the seat when you brake hard?

Legally licensed CCW here, I keep my P938 in my pocket holster but put it in my door pocket on longer drives. Unlike my F150, the bolstered Porsche seats tend to make it dig into my leg if I leave it pocketed. I would love a more secure location but there's just not many places inside the 996.

Somewhere in this thread the suggestion was made to use the owners manual holder that mounts under the steering column. This item was installed on models that didn't have the glove box on the passenger side. It's the perfect solution for easy access to ones smaller handgun. I happened across one on ebay. It's part number is 996 552 173 00.

Interesting. Just a few more months till CA starts actually doing CCW's the right way, once that happens I'll be looking for a good place. Till then I just keep a nice sized blade/tool in the drivers side door cubby.
