BRAKE DAMPERS and ANTI-SQUEAL Quick Question

Hi guys, I recently got my Pelican part goody box in the mail which contains Brake Pad Vibration Dampers (Front and Rears). I'm just wondering whether it is CRUCIAL to put Anti-squeal paste/grease on the dampers before installing them or it's OK not put the messy paste anymore. Anyway, what is the purpose of the vibration dampers if you still need to put anti-squeal paste right??? Is applying AS NECESSARY or more of just A 'making sure' kinda thing?

(searched other threads and the answer I got was confusing: some say yes - some say no )

I didn't use any paste when I replaced mine. You shouldn't need to is you use brand new dampers.

Thanks for this! Last question before I start operation: Do I need to peel off the wax paper at the back? There seem to be adhesive on the back plate when you peel off the wax paper.

I'm guessing the adhesive sticks to the brake pads right so there is really NO need to apply the paste anymore???

Yes...peel the wax paper. The vibration dampeners need to bond to the pads. You only need adhesive if you choose in the future to re-use the dampeners versus buying new.

thank you! Just an update. I finished all four wheels this afternoon and took rhe pcar for a run. Im very happy that the squeal (High pitched sound like mic feedback when braking) is now gone! No more annoying noise. I strongly recommend installing these dampers if you want your brakes to be quiet and smooth! Thanks again!

do these work for aftermarket pads such as PFC? I use them with stock pads, but remove them for track days and the HP pads. The PFC pads squeel badly when I am driving around town.
