In the real world how much faster is a 997S vs 996

In the real world how much faster is a 997S vs 996

assume the 996 has sport suspension to match the 997S' PASM. Also what about the 996 X51 which is only 10HP less than the 997S and I think the same weight if not ligher.

just compare 997 vs 997s, that'll give you a good idea

good question,i would like to know also,especially if the 996 have the x51package

ok, if you compare the 997 and 997S both with PASM and both with and without sports chrono. Some mags have been saying not much difference, but some like road and track are saying there is a big difference.

I'm just trying to figure out is this all marketing hype and the 30hp more while impressive is about the difference between a 2001 996 and a 2002 996 and magazines were not going nuts then.

i did a highway roll on against against an 05 997. it was a little quicker, but not significantly.

Was it a cab or coupe. Your a cab so that could be the difference...

it was a coupe, so yeah, i'm a little heavier

Depends on the driver. Since you can't drive both cars at the same time go with the one that matches your needs the most. In the end, don't worry about it, there is always a faster car.
