Like all the mods, it's making a 996 your personal 996

Thanks! Its allways a Little more funny to have a car that dosnt look mainstream

And hopefully the supercharger, will get one or two mainstream fast cars drivers realy surprised, hehe

Looks and go, that's gonna be nice once done. Might wanna lookup kc_doug or contact him for any questions as he's recently finished up his sc install.

Ok - so Winter has arrived! The car is in the garage in I have plenty of time doing some more mods this Winter

Anyway - since I never took the time to install my superchargerkit I sold it to finance the mods for this Winter.

The list are:

1. Paint the brakecalibers yellow

2. Cargraphic 200 cells race cats - on the way from Germany as I´m typing this

3. Europé GT3 bucket seats

4. Iphonecable to the stereo

5. Remove back seats

6. Leightweight battery (tips apriciated!!)

7. GT3 brake ducts from the 997

8. Change the waterpump and thermostat (should I go low-temp thermostat )

9. If I can find one for a decent price - install a roll bar

10. Some serious celan up and polish - damn the car is dirty underneath

And as usually some pics !

No!!!! I was looking forward to seeing you agonize over the crappy SC instructions! Now I have nobody to help. And no SC... boo! Just kidding! Looking forward to seeing your implementation of the 10 -set winter program.

1. VHT or "Italian Professional Paint" (see eBay #111249480823 but needs paint gun)
2. Awesome. Got those on my car already.
3. Very nice way to save some weight on a 996
7. Also look into 997 deflectors p/n = 99757523191 and 99757523291
8. Good idea to swap waterpump and depends on climate for thermo

hahaha I kind of realized that when trying to put things together when I was speaking to you. But hey - you never know I might change my mind when the spring arrive and I meet a TT on the road...

Btw, how is the new airfilterhousing working that you put together?

You gotta go with what you like ultimately. With that said, if you wanna get a slight performance bump if you don't do the SC, lighter wheels will be noticeable in both acceleration and braking, not to mention suspension dynamics. The lightest OEM wheels outside of the e88 for regular street cars are the Carrera2 wheels that came on '02-'04 996 models like below.

OEM Sport Designs: 11.5kg/13.1kg
Carrera 2: 9.3kg/10.3kg

Many many choices. However the weight can be directly proportional to price.

BBS, OZ, Champion Motorsports, CCW, Kinesis, etc.
