Sidemarker/corner light question

I am 99% sure it is not supposed to blink, but that 1% of doubt caused me to ask the question. Are they supposed to blink with the turn signal or just light up and stay on only with the lights.

I am 99% sure they are just supposed to turn on with the lights. If I am correct, then my question is why don't they blink? It seems to me that from the side, it would be hard for traffic to see my blinker in the front headlight.

If they are suppoed to blink, then my question is why don't mine?

Anyone know why they don't blink. Most Euro cars out have sidemarkers that blink. My TT and A4 did, Mercedes have the side markers in their mirrors that blink. And Asian cars are now coming with them.

Just seems strange to me that Porsche put that light in that location but didn't make it blink!

In Europe they blink with the turn signals but not in North America. There is a 'hack' you can do to make them blink. Jeff
