Any one has photos of drilled holes in exhaust pipe to improve engine sound on a 996 C2 ?
Location (before muffler but top, bottom, outsize) and size?

 

you can do that on the boxster by drilling 2 holes into the tailpipe but nothing that i know of on the 996...are you talking about pse hack?

 

I would not drill holes in the exhaust pipes, you could get carbonmonoxide backing up into the cabin. If you want a more aggressive sound go woth the PSE/Gundo hack or Fisters.

 

It sounds like you are looking for the Gundo hack. I haven't done it myself, yet. I need to to a bit more research on how, if at all it might effect getting my California smog cert.

 

I just got my car tested and i have the Fister mod. No affect to my test. Passed visual and dyno test with flying colors.

NICE. Looks like the same thing only prettier. I suspected that the emissions would be the same considering it's post catalytic converter but thanks for the confirmation. I have mixed emotions about the hack. I have a cab and I'm wondering if it will drowned out my music when the top is down. Anyone know?

 

My C4 was a cab and the drone didn't not interrupt/intrude on the cabin enough to make the drive annoying. This is with the AH mufflers and stock cats.
