Nice thing about the Porsche in General
Even dyed in the wool Porscheophiles have problems telling 996 & 997 apart. Latest instance-PCA guy helping sort parking at the this month's Porsche corral at Laguna Seca. Asks me "is that a 6 or 7" (about my 03 turbo). I thought he was talking about the year and said "it's a 3" to which he responded, no that can't be a 993.
I also finally realized when parked next to a 997 turbo that my car was prettier. All the bulges and whoop de doos on the 997TT are not aging so well compared to the same shape with clean lines on the 996.

It's interesting that you guys bring this up. I had some tires intstalled the other day and the tech that drove my car out of the garage asked me, "is this an '08?', I said no a '00. He said "Wow, the paint on there looks good".
Now I know how women feel when we tell them they look younger than they are.

" What year is your car?" the man asked. As a rule now, I never tell people what year my car is. I just respond with " Guess!" hahahahaha.
Of course they always guess it's a 2010 or 12 something. Then I respond with " Man, you know your Porsche's" and drive off.
We love our 2004 C4S.
