good news, alternator was replaced, bad new didn't fix the problem. @#$%.

Check Engine Drive to Workshop

That really sucks! I had a check engine light also, after taking my car to THE shop yesterday, they scanned the ECU and cleared the issue, I don't drive it much and I need to clear the O2 Sensors is running too rich, Now the light is off I am hoping to pass the smog check now next. I still need to fix the harness though, I am having a hard time on the start after driving it for a while. I hope you get yours up and running.

AGAIN! My next step would be a cheap...about 15 bucks... and 10 min ignition switch change. Those cause all kinds of strange electrical issues. It would be a cheap "test" at least. I got mine off Amazon. That fixed my mystery air bag light issue AFTER I replaced everything else that I was told could be the issue.
