Deep Sump for track use

I will be updating this year, finally, to a deep sump set up for the track. I would like to get some recommendations. I am looking at the L&N Engineering 2 qt kit with the wind screen and baffles. Are there any others to consider other than the X-51 kit?
Thanks
Jim Greer

I went with the FVD deep sump on my 99 even though it was the most expensive of the options out there. I liked it's overall profile from a depth standpoint and if I remember correctly it was the only unit that comes preassembled with it's own baffle system. Installation was a snap, just pull the stock sump plate, remove the oil pickup and reinstall with the provided spacer, clean the engine case, install sealant on the new sump plate (I used loctite) and bolt back up. Refill used 11 quarts. I'm averaging 1 to 2 track days a month and didn't want to worry about the oil system.

It was great as well to pull the original sump and not find any foreign objects living in the sump! The other interesting thing was it appears they missed putting sealant on about half the original plate at the factory but it never leaked.

You are correct, it does come preassembled and has the X51 style baffle. It is $ 254.00 less than the 2 qt kit mentioned above.

Also, don't forget to mention that you are a 6 speed member prior to purchase and pm me, as we always take care of our forum members.

Where in Florida is your shop? I may be interested in the cat X-pipes in the near future.

Our warehouse is located in the Pompano Beach area. We no longer have a shop in Florida, just in Germany. Just let me know when you are ready for the cat x pipes and I can point you towards a shop in your area that we work with.
