Time for a little makeover

Since I got extra days off after the holiday weekend, I want to get a head start & do a little makeover on my car. Its been long over due. First to go is the black brembo. The paint have faded & chipped so I decided to brighten it up a bit. From jacking up the car, removing 1 wheel at a time, cleaning, prep work & painting, it took me over 7 hrs & of course a few beer break in between . I was too lazy to remove the calipers. besides who's gonna see the back anyway. but I did managed to spray some in the back.

faded & chipped paint gotta go
[IMG][/IMG]

the cleaning & sanding was a bee-otch
[IMG[/IMG]

I prefer using aluminum foil cause it easy to wrap w/out using a lot of tape & I can reuse it for the other 3
[IMG][/IMG]

one spray can should be enough for all 4
[IMG][/IMG]

now its all bright & shiny waiting for the Porsche sticker to arrive
[IMG][/IMG]

[IMG][/IMG]

next step, waiting for my new rim to be completed. it's been over 8 weeks so I'm hoping this week to arrive but I wouldn't hold my breath tho.

Looks good, thinking about painting mine as well. Can't decide on yellow, gold, or keeping them red. thanks for sharing!

Those both turned out great! Was one coat of paint enough or did you put multiple coats on?

I sprayed multiple coats. one can is all you need for 4 calipers

bye-bye old rim

[IMG][/IMG]

I'm glad I bought the white PORSCHE sticker instead of black
[IMG][/IMG]

she look so much better now...the red pinstripe helps breakup the black of the rim & tire which was the intention
[IMG][/IMG]

I added 5mm spacer in the rear so it sit flush with the fender

Good choice on the stickers. Your wheels are looking great. Did you actually painted the red pinstripe yourself? Really stands out. Seems like a lot of work.
