Are Porsche owners lonely?

I drive my 911 alone because no one will ride in it with me. I don't always push it, but there are certain corners I know by heart and they will be taken at close to limits every time. This seems to scare people.
Oh, and besides my wife and two kids, I live alone.

I suspect that when this 60 year old with his questionable vision see a dork 99.993% of the time that he looks over at someone in the aforementioned cars is that he is catching HIS OWN reflection in his own view mirror. Now on to a serious answer. I live the OC and I can say for sure that not 1 day goes by where I don't see someone driving a high performance car and I can say without a doubt that they will NEVER track it and will probably never break 100MPH. A lady friend of mine has a 2010 997 just bought a 2014 boxter to drive to and from the tennis club. She wanted a convertible to cool off with after playing tennis. SO WHAT. Where is it written that you cannot buy a fast car just because you like the way it looks? In the spirit of full disclosure it does make me a little sad when I think about having a race horse pulling a buggy but then I remember how excited the second owner is going to be when he learns that the used P car he is buying was mainly driven to and from a tennis club.
