19" Wheels on 996 Targa

I would like to put 19x11 techart rear wheels on my 2002 targa. It has a Gt2 front bumper and techart side skirts. CEC say I should put a 315/25/19 tire on. Is that too Big?

Techart recommends Conti 315/25-19. they recommends roll the fenders as well. i'd go for Pirelli Pzero Rosso 305/25-19 instead.

Hey Arling,

If I put 25 series on my rear wheels, can I still run 35 series on my fronts?

the reason of running different profile tires front & rear is because u want to stay as close as possible to the factory rolling diameter. for example factory runs 40 series front & 30 series rear in 18''s. a simple answer to ur question is yes but i'd like to know more in detail to give u more detailed answer.

w/ the 305/25-19 do you need to roll the fenders? The car is on PSS9 rear rim 19x11 (+64)

Benny,
what wheel are we talking about here?

i'd still suggest u to roll it. close call if u drive it hard; tire will touch the fender.

good choice. like i said, u're close. depends on alignment set up & fine tuning it. rear camber will be the main factor.

Tire wise, you're looking at 235/35 and 305/25 for 19" for closest to oem dia.

Dunlop SP 9000
305/25/19
with 245/30/19

Best fit for a narrow body 996 IMO
Great handling tire and much quieter than the pirelli's
