You sure about the code number? Doesn't show up in my references.
Generally, if the engine is not exhibiting any untoward behavior, if vital fluid levels are ok, the SOP is to clear the code and resume driving the car.
If the code stays away, fine.
If it comes back, or if the engine starts acting up, that's not fine.

Error codes that begin with a "1" are manufacturer specific.
While the informative text you supplied applies to IIRC a BMW with this error, a Ford or GM car or another brand of car with this error could have a different informative text.
My printed and digital references do not show this code for a Porsche. I checked renntech.org's list of error codes and it didn't come up.
Thus I question the code? Perhaps the OP misread the code? Or mistyped it?
