10/31 and 11/11 at thunderhill

www.unlimitedlaps.com has the above dates at thunderhill raceway. i think they are cheaper than other groups and there is a discount if you do both days.

i plan to be there both days, hope to see some of you out there.

I needed a new cylinder head. The top end is at Ollies for new valves, 5 angle valve job, port n polish, Andial valve springs, etc. The connecting rods are getting magnafluxed to looked for cracks. All the other parts are in the shop. I guess I'm being conservative on when it will get back together. You never know what comes up with these old engines. It should turn out with a little more hp but stay reliable. I didn't want a yearly rebuild type motor.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for an early November completion, which opens up some dates to brake everything in.

My wife drive around town and in a place like Gilroy that's not very far! I'm getting 22-23 mpg in my 996 to and from work!

I'm looking for a tow vehicle. Looks like the VW Toureg is coming back out with the V10 diesel.
