A good friend of mine has spotted an '01 C4 on ebay which he is very much interested in. The car is AS with a full leather interior, xenons, 25K miles and appears to be meticulously maintained. His questions are: 1. Is the trigger price of $49k fair and 2. Can he drive it year round in Rochester, NY (near Buffalo) assuming that he puts on snow tires. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks...Phil.

Thats a very fair price assuming tha car is on the up and up which you indicate it to be.

 

I have an 02 c4s and drive it year round in Columbus, OH. I have a set of Michelin Pilot Alpine's that i run in the winter and have been very happy with them (substantially quieter than blizzaks.) The only thing that makes me nervous in winter driving is the other people on the road.

He can definitely use it year-round in Buffalo provided there is less than 6" of snow on the road, as long as he has some good snow tires (Dunlop Winter Sport M2's are the porsche recommendation)...more than 6" of snow...he'll probably get high-centered...
