Trying to decide which 996 to get.

Which 996 should I get if I am looking to pay a maximum of $1k per month lease, with maybe 2 or 3 down. I would like to get one with a warranty until '08 or '09, with under 10k miles on it if possible. If I could find an 01 turbo with a warranty for 3 or 4 years, I may be willing to spring for that given it has under 30k miles. Are my criteria even possible? I really like the C4S, but I think payments for an 03 would be out of reach. What do you guys think?

That looks like a great deal! Unfortunately I am not looking for one right away, probably in about 5 months. Just wanting to get a feel for what the market is like for used 996s.

Just as an FYI...I leased my Cab with no money down (when it was new in 03) for $1,100 per month for 36 months...got it with lots of extras as well...hope that helps...

In order to meet your goals of a $1K lease payment and only putting 2-3K down, you'll need to look for a car with a price of about $60K. Also, it's going to be hard to get a lease on a 4+ year old car. Most leasing companies will only lease a car that's 3 years old or less.

When you say you're looking for an '01 with a 3-4 year warranty, does that mean you're looking for one that already has an extended warranty on it, or would you purchase one? That'll add about $4K onto your purchase.
