Throttle Body Flap 996.2
Throttle Body Flap 996.2
I'm trying to cure a flashing CEL. I replaced all the coil packs with no success. I keep getting a misfire in cyl 1 but it runs so rough I shut the engine off after no more then like 20 seconds so the misfires could be going to the other cylinders if I tried to let it run any longer.
I was looking at the throttle body and noticed the flap is open about a 2-3mm. If I push down on the flap it will close all the way and when I let go it opens back up to the 2-3mm open position.
Could the throttle body not being the fully closed position cause a misfire?

No this normal the last time I checked. You have a eGas tb so it would've compensated anyways. I would pull the cel codes and go from there.
If you recently installed coils yourself, make sure you triple check your connections at the connectors. These don't like to seat themselves all the time. You need to verify you hear a click when pushing in the connectors.
