Installed 3 spoke steering wheel and now horn doesn't work

Well, it looks like I found a way to mess up this easy project. The summary is this: I bought a tiptronic 3 spoke steering wheel with airbag. My car is a six-speed manual. I'm installing the tip steering wheel in my manual car, and I'll be painting the tiptronic buttons on the steering wheel to match my custom painted console. After installation, my horn no longer works. Would the clockspring be different on a manual vs. tip car? What else should I check?

If you haven't already. Remove the steering again and compare the back of them. I presume you still have the first wheel. If they are the same. Then you have simply missed connecting a wire somewhere along the line. Good luck.

Trying to remember exactly, what to do to fix. I ran into this when I upgraded to my T96 DCTMS wheel. There is a metal bracket that the air bag bolts to and it has conductors on it for the horn. Don't over tighten or the horn won't work correctly.
