well i have started updating the interior in my 996. by spring time it will look totally different. plans include alot of suede, tequiment bar, harness, new seats, all new audio system, new carbon pieces, and more so far I have just replaced the facotry radio with one I had around the house, my friend did my gauges for me, and MOMO steering wheel.

What's up with the GT3 yellow gauge? I'd stick w all white as the GT3 seem too pretencious. The steer wheel looks way too funky. Stock one is better IMO.

You may want to add more silver pieces into the interior to brighten it up. CF is nice but still too dark. Silver Airbag tabs, alum horseshoe around the shifter, handbrake would look sweet. A nice Lloyd's floormat with Yellow piping around the edge would top it off.

The outside gauges are alumin. finish and the center is a yellow that is close to the exterior color. Do something a little different than everything else

I didn't feel like spending $1500 to get a factory 3 spoke wheel, so I went with the MOMO route and I love the way it feels in the car. I get a very nice distcount on them through a sponsor. the inside will be a bit brighter come this spring time. Got a couple things in the works that I have not seen in a 911. should be pretty cool when done.

I have to agree with DJ on the guages being overdone. The center guage looks like a gold tooth I would stick with all Alum. You can get a 3 spoke wheel and Air bag for under $500 on ebay. The air bag could save your life one day. Also is that real Carbon Fiber on the interior trim it looks like stickers? The color looks off maybe just the camera flash.

Yeah, it doesn't even look like CF for some reason. Looks more like a darker variation of a seal gray painted console

No i bought the car with this cheap carbon wanna be kit in it. it really sucks. One of my good friends owns a company overseas that makes things out of carbon and other materials. He is going to redo everything for me over the winter. I can't wait to replace. I really wish it wasn't there to start with.

I just wish I could take a good photo to show how the gauge looks in contrast with the whole car. I recieved a ton of compliments at the last track day.

performace mods to the car are limited to fabspeed intake, Headers, mufflers, Unichip. (will add Fabspeed bypass cats, possible new intake, maybe muffler bypass)

Full H&R suspension and coil overs.

Always looking for new ideas from my 6speed people!

love the momo steering wheel. i wanna replace my steering wheel with a quick release momo but i can't give up the airbag for the street.

big no no on the "wanna be" gt3 on the tach gauge ... no offense

is that some electrical tape covering up the airbag light? you should just remove the bulb so you can permanently disable it.

yup you cuaght the Etape i was running a track day and I didn't want a tech guy gettinga bug up his you know what for no reason. The upper console is coming apart soon so I will take out the bulbs then. The GT3 on the gauge follows everything else on the car with the RSR kit (just ordered my vanity plate RSRWNAB) LOL.

THE tequipment bar is tops on my list i will send you a PM

I don't like the steering wheel or gauges, makes the car look gaudy IMO.

To each there own though.

make sure the tequipment is suitable for your club if you are considering time trialing or club racing. for my local PCA, my tequipment roll bar passes for TTs up to a certain level of modifications. beyond it and i would need a full cage. for racing i would need a full cage regardless of modifications.
