Talking Ooooohhhhhhh Aaahhhh Red Calipers!!!

Today I recieved the final parts I needed to finish my 996 Caliper rebuild (Color change). They came out so good that I wanted to share them with you. They came out perfect not a blemish! If anyone wants to do this upgrade shoot me an email w. I can do these in a one week turn around. I had planned on selling the calipers on the car now I guess I could use these as a core and could do these and swap them to give anyone interested little to no down time. Since they are powdercoated there are many colors to choose from. The powdercoating is very hard and durable as you know. This is the only way to do this upgrade!

Started with this...

Now I have this...!

Don't put them on the car. They belong in a museum, under work of art. Excellent job.

Those look professionally done!! Do you know if the color is the same as a true OEM red caliper??
I ask because a friend has been wanting to refinish one of his fronts and I told him that I mgiht know someone on the forum who can do it...
Let me know (e-mail or PM) if the color matches and if it does how much time and money you need to refinish...(can you 'blend in ' with powdercoating or do you have to do the whole thing??)

Misindi they were professionally done! by me! PM for the details.

Materials & labor (not mine) come in at about $75/per. The paint should be almost a perfect match maybe a shade off I am plan on heading over to see my buddy at the dealer to compare. Never the less they are 6 feet apart to the naked eye you won't tell the difference if they are a shade off.

You really did a super job! Where did you get the PORSCHE letters from - they look exactly like OEM.

Sandoval,
$75 per Caliper? so $75x4 plus shipping?
Are they easy to remove for someone who has never done it?
Do you need any special equipment/tools? Brake fluid?

The question was what did it cost me that was MY cost on the materials not including the time it took to prepare the calipers deliver them to the powder coater, pick them up then rebuild them. The piston are tricky to remove you need a air compressor I have a special tool to remove the pistons. If you are interested send me an email.
