1999 996 battery dead
Help! any idea how to open hood/trunk with no power, battery dead today, i tried both front wheel-well`s no cable to be seen and no red fuse charging block to help with jumping ?? any ideas anyone
My release cable was under the rh headlight not so much in the wheel wheel. Have you tried unlocking the car with the key and pulling the release? Our 99's are manual cables so it doesn't matter if the battery is dead.
Look in the fuse box, is there not something you can pull out (terminal) to hook on to for a jump start? I took a piece of copper wire and raveled around the terminal block and then put some electrical tape on it to secure it and then did the same to a piece of metal for the ground wire. (This way I didn't cause any damage to either the terminal or the door hinge (I think this is what I used for ground). I connected the wire ends to a new car battery and the hood pop button worked.
