Tiptronic owners, I have a question.

I have a 2001 C2 996 N/A tiptronic. I've had it 5 months now and I'm wondering if this is normal. Whenever I shift at WOT(wide open throttle) the RPM's shoot up 2-300 RPM's, then they drop down in RPM's and into the next higher gear. I always use M in the transmission when driving. Is this normal. It would seem more normal if as soon as I hit the tip botton the RPM's would drop immediately and the tranny into the next higher gear. Sometimes it's a full second or two after I hit the tip button RPM's go up, then down into the next gear. It seems like this would hurt the torque converter or auto clutches.

My CEL came on about 3 weeks after I had the car. I unplugged the - on battery and it stayed off for a couple weeks. Ever since I put Fabspeed headers, exhaust and Evo power flow intake on the CEL has been on constantly. I can unplug the - on the battery again and it will stay off for a couple more days, but it always comes back on. I think the transmission has shifted this way ever since I've had the car - not since the CEL came on.

Thanks for your help.

Ken
