I am thinking about buying a 996 at Auction. Any advise?

I am thinking about buying a 996 at Auction. Any advise?

I am thinking about buying a 996 at the auction next month. I will be able to preview the cars the day before. Looking for advise.

ISO 99-00 blk/blk 996

Check for an RMS leak. Body work. See if it has any records in the car. Call the dealer with the VIN to see if they have any warranty repair records.

What Tim said, but at auctions, you often don't have the time to check anything out enough.

In terms of options, don't get too fussy, as most of them can be added after you buy the car. The exception is PSM.

If you want a PSM car, it'll need to have been installed at the factory. Look for the PSM switch on the dash.

PSM is not the same as Traction Control.

Pre-EGas cars don't have the option to have PSM, but some do have TC.

If it's not important, though, I'll second what everyone else said. If there's a car you're interested in, take a bunch of pictures, and we'll all take a look before you bid.

You should be able to get a smoking deal. Hopefully, not a smoking car.

Budget 20k for mods, though
