Had my fabspeed exhaust installed at 969 Motorsports in norcal yesterday. Great shop & service. I'll definatly go back, Dave was very cool to talk to as I waited for it to be installed.

Question for those of you with fabs... Does the exhaust warm up with more use? With the heavy rain I havent had a chance to drive it much since it was installed, but I took it out for a test run today and while the sound and tone is great it is a little quiet. I was hoping it would not be as loud as my old mcoupe which was really f'in loud, but I dont feel its even 1/2 as loud.

I drove a 99 C4 once with what I think was PSE and it was noticably louder, and I ran into one C4S cab on the street once with some exhaust and it was definitely much louder then my fabs sound.

What do you guys think?

It should be louder.. also when comparing sounds were you inside or out when you heard the C4 cab? Only reason is that it's still pretty quiet inside the car but much louder outside.... No real drone/resonance either on the C4S...

 

It will get louder and "sweeter" as well. I've had them on 4 Porsches and the sound is superb.

 

Give it a few thousands miles, and it will sound really nice. Add a supercharger and it sounds even better.

 

I've had my Fabspeeds for about a year. I can't imagine not having them on my car. Love the sound at all speeds. Especially in tunnels and underpasses. To me it just sounds like it should have sounded from the factory.

They will definitely get louder the more you drive the car, especially if you go WOT as much as you can for 1,000 miles or so. Great sound! Especially winding our 3rd on the fwy
