The PSE is what the people who buy the bypass goto after they take it off. I have a PSE and have installed a couple of them on friends cars. They are awesome. That's how a Porsche should sound.

yap. my friend said so too. As a matter of fact, he told me the fabspeed sounds like american muscle car. his brothers have gemballa and PSE on cars. PSE sound nothing special in idle mode, but in high RPM sounds very deep and throatly. Gemballa one sounds high pitch.
I got all the information from my friend, any comment?
So far, I've only hear the PSE and I am kind of like it.
Another question, will the exhaust sound loauder if I change header or put the supercharger? i suppose it will right?

HWK!-

Just go to a local muffler shop here in SF or Daly City and have them remove one muffler and install a basic "bent" pipe so you can compare...prolly only cost u a few bucks and some time.....

Do you live in The City ?? The noise from most other cars and buses will more than likely be much LOUDER than your 996 with BYPASS pipes!

PSE is one of the best exhausts available for the 996, albeit a bit expensive. There is a sound difference between the 2 versions of PSE, the 3.4 type is more raspy sound while the 3.6 is throatier IMO. Even the PSE can be too loud at times IMO.

The Fabspeed 996 mufflers bypass pipes make any 996 sound like a GT3 CUP car. Easy on/easy off.

The Fabspeed 996 Maxflo muffler system is a set of high-performnace mufflers that offer the same horsepower /torque gains and are light weight but obviuosly are quieter. You can re-use your factory tips on our Maxflo muffler system.

Sound bites on our website. Ultimate quality and extra heavy guage polsihed stainless steel.
Have a great day

Look there is no way a 4 valve DOHC flat 6 is ever going to sound like a 2 valve push rod V8. Throaty sound yes, but rumble like a big block...no way.
