Thanks Dave,
Overall not a bad article. Some of the glitches have been worked out since 2003, some still exist I believe. Apparently the throw out bearings can be noisy, and the coolant tanks leak.....Don't our 911's do that

If money is the issue here then it is what it is but you will kick yourself if you go from a C2 to a mini s'. I agree with Jon, the Mini is a girly car, it just looks too feminine.

See I disagree. I think the VW Bug is a girls car for sure. Hell even the Lexus GX 470 for that matter. I have yet to see one single guy driving a GX 470.

I think the Mini is much more a mans car in that tiny "cute" car segment. Certainly I would NOT get the Mini in their light yellow or any pastel color.

I thought grey, black, or silver with tinted windows........so knowbody would see me driving it .
All kidding aside I like them, and think they can look pretty kick ***.

I understand they are great fun to drive. But I like to quote my friend: "it can't get away from itself even if it wants to." It's just too slow.

0-60 in 7.8 stock. Works mod take you down to 6.8. Sorry. C2 is my choice at 5 second.

BUT, if this is a step for you to take and move up the a 997CS, I'm all for it.
