I have absolutely no problem with people converting 996 to 997 look. However, the stuff in the original post is hideous. The rear looks like it was tacked on by a 6 year old with a bunch of super glue and bondo. Terrible execution. If I were to do it, it'd be 997 Front end, 997 rear tails, 996 GT3 RS wing, 997 GT3 front bumper/side skirts, with the Indy rear bumper.
why do you say it looks "tacked on"? it is replacement body work after all. but for that rear bumper seam, i'd say it looks pretty good. if they had run that bumper seam parallel with the bottom of the tail light (ie the way it is from the factory), i don't think there would be much room for criticim. the view from the front looks smooth.
Deputy, I meant from the rear it looks tacked on. The front looks great! I'm just not a fan of Jacquemond's body work. There is always a good idea behind it IMO, but it always ends up with poor execution. Plus the rear looks entirely to plastic IMO.
i'll agree with you on that. i just don't know what they were thinking with that bumper seam midway through the fender. just ruins it. filling the seam would be an option, but then you couldn't get the bumper off.
i just found this interesting as this is the first widebody kit that doesn't cost your kids college tuition fund.
