turbocharge porsche 996

I am thinking about turbo charging a porsche 996 carrera, but the packages are very expensive for this car. What is the best cheap way to turbo a 996 carrera?

I'm going to sound like a smart *** but I believe the cheapest way would be to sell the Carrera and buy a 996 turbo....better resale too...you will spend a boatload and never get your money back...you can go part way and supercharge it for less money

the M96 motor has enough problems as it is trying to keeps itself alive. If you want a turbo, get a 996tt. No need to reinvent the wheel.
