Tequipment battery maintainer lights

I have replaced a dead battery in my 996 and have used the Porsche charge-o-mat battery maintainer for a bunch of years over the winter. It's basically worked great.

My question is with the new replaced battery. When I connect the new battery to the maintainer, only the bottom light that has the icon of the car is a steady orange but none of the top lights are on. I assume it is getting a response from the battery because of the steady orange light. Am I right to assume the charging indicators are off because the battery is at full charge? I really thought the full charge indicator would be green in this case.

I can't find any consistent info online about the lights on this maintainer. Any advice would help.

Thanks, John

Thanks! Yeah, I have the booklet with my kit. It doesn’t say anything specific to what’s happening with the lights, though. I’ve been reading that is may not be recognizing the battery for some reason. I have to figure out that reason since it worked perfect for years on my last battery.
