Key gone bad...fixed won't talk to car

My one good key failed two days after replacing battery. Got it to work again by bending prongs, so it flashes light when pressed, but now car does not recognize key. Tried turning key on while pressing button for 10 seconds, nothing, same with that approach in the door lock. Am i effed?

Well I went to dealer....now have a new key and a giant hole in my wallet. Could have saved $100 by buying from Suncoast. Still glad to have a nice new shiny key, plus they had free coffee at the Porsche Bar at my dealer.

Glad you didn't try any of the stupid electronic tricks that circulate the internet. IMHO... The only right way is to have a dealer program new keys. It's also very wise to have a back up keyfob just in case you lose the one key.
