Hi. As stated in my other thread, I am considering purchasing a used 911 C2 coupe.

I know most of the differences for 02, and if I can afford one, I think I would do it.
But are there any differences in the 00 vs 02?
When buying used, what options would you guys recommend looking for? Or would avoid?
Any tips to give a guy looking to get into the 911 croud? Thanks a lot!

One random question: On the 00-01 headlights, they are clearly projectors. Are they Xenon as well by any chance?

 

00-01 the option was called Litronics(xenon). Not all have it, but if the headlamps look like projector when you look inside the lense, or when you turn on the headlamps, they adjust move up and down, then you have litronics.

 

I would definitely find one with Litronics. In addition, if you are getting a C2, look for one with Porsche Stability Management (PSM). It's a great safetly feature and can't be added after. The white sticker under the hood will list all of the option codes on the car. There is a long list of options that are available on these cars. Figure out which ones are important to you and take your time to find the right car. It took me four months to find mine.

 

02 on is the better choice - post face lift and more power. Like mine
