Porsche Classic Brake Fluid
Porsche Classic Brake Fluid
The topic regarding which brake fluid to use (Motul, SRF, Torque, Endless, etc) has been beaten to death, but nowhere have I been able to find a discussion on Porsche Classic Brake Fluid.

The "Classic" brake fluid is for Porsche's MY 2004 or older. This is a different fluid than the current factory brake fluid. https://www.suncoastparts.com/product/00004330552.html
Does anyone have any good info about this "Classic" and why I would want to use this for my 996 C4S vs the current factory fluid or one of the high performance brands mentioned above?

My SOP would be -- if I still owned a Porsche and one that would use the classic fluid -- would be to ask one of the senior techs at the local Porsche dealer why? What's the difference between the fluids?
Other than the fact Porsche calls for the some of the older "modern" water cooled cars to use classic rather than the newer fluid I have no idea why one is recommended for older cars and the other is for newer cars.
