Question GT3 suspension in a 99' 996?

Has anyone ever tried putting a late model GT3 suspension (coilovers, bars etc) in a 99' or 2000' 3.4 L stock 996?

If so what mods would have to be done?

Paul

What! Nobody has tried this???? My thoughts were that the extra weight of the stock 996 would make for an awesome ride (stiffer and more adjustable than the ROW M030) yet not gonna kill me for DD use.

I only mentioned this b/c sometimes these high performance race shops get guys with lots of monies who like to rip out their stock supsensions on their brand new GT3's and put in full blown race set-ups (i.e. Motons). I see this as a potential opportunity to score some killer deals and experiment with my 99' 3.4L .

I'll bet I could p/u a set for 1/2 the price of PSS-9's!

The are differences, but fundamentally they are the same. The GT3 suspension is all about street/track compromise. Depending on what your intentions are, you would probably be better off with PSS9 for more street use or Motons for more track use. Plus GT3 bars.
