Its Time for Brakes - Get the cars ready for the track!

Alright guys, its that time of year when the snow will go away soon, the car will come out of the garage, and you will want to drive fast on the track. When was the last time you replaced your pads!!!!!!!!!!!
I have brought out some alternatives for you guys to get hooked up on some braking components including pads, lines, rotors, and full brake kits.
I have done a bit of racing with my C2 and here is what I know will improve your stopping performance over stock on the street or track. If you have any questions about the parts, PM me, Email me, or Post here -
Hawk HPS Performance Street Pads. - We have front and rear available PM me or email me for pricing.
  • Increased stopping power
  • High friction/torque hot or cold
  • Gentle on rotors
  • Extended pad life
  • Low dust
  • Virtually noise-free

Hawk HT-14 Race Pads - Front and Rear available. PM me or email me for pricing.
Very high torque with aggressive initial bite. Excellent modulation and release
characteristics. Brake pads designed for cars with extremely high deceleration rates and down force.

We also carry other pads from OEM Porsche to Pagid compounds so contact me for pricing.
Agency Power Steel Braided Brakelines - Improve pedal response, better braking, longer lasting, can hold up to temperature. Lines are Steel braided with a teflon lining. Smoked covering over line give it a better look and prevents any wear and tear. Ends are CNC machined fittings to fit flawlessly with Porsche calipers. Front and rear lines available. PM me or email me for pricing.

Motul RBF600 Synthetic DOT3 Brake Fluid - Extreme thermal resistance and stability.
The elevated boiling point of RBF 600 FACTORY LINE (312°c / 593°F) enables effective braking even under the extreme conditions of competition.
Very efficient in the rain: the very high wet boiling point (216°c / 420°F), is superior to conventional brake fluids and provides a particularly efficient braking system in rain and minimizes the risk of vapor lock.
PM me or email me for special deals on quantity. DONT RACE your car on stock fluid!

StopTech OEM Replacement or Slotted Rotors - Front and rear replacement rotors. If you have beat your rotors up and have hot spots, grooves, or its time to replace them, then go with these StopTech Plain or Slotted rotors. The Slotted rotors will give the best performance for street and track. Material is of OEM and better quality. Will work great with OEM to race pads. Fits with factory calipers. I can sell front or rear or all 4. Sorry drilled is not an option. PM me or email me for pricing.

StopTech Big Brake Kits - Vivid Racing has been using StopTech on its street and race cars for almost 5 years now. Our history along with StopTechs winning race history proves their product. I have personally used their kits on my 996, M3, RX8, EVO, STI, and more. We have StopTechs 4 wheel and 2 wheel brake kit available. All brake kits come with calipers, 2 piece rotors, Axxis Ultimate Brake Pads, Steel Braided Brake Lines, and instructions.
The front kit uses a 355x32mm floating rotor and the rear kit uses a 332x32mm floating rotor. Both are 4 piston calipers. We have them available with drilled or slotted rotors. Calipers are available in blue, red, black, silver, or yellow. Here is a link to the StopTech Porsche kits on our site -

Here is a link to a install I did on my own 996 -

PM me or email me for SMOKIN prices on these brake kits.

We also sell BREMBO and Rotora. Let me know if you have any technical or pricing questions...
Thanks

spr is infamous around these parts
Hey Dan fwiw I have heard some pretty bad things about the Hawk's esp. the Blues from various users and resellers about the desintegrating and or leaving material on the rotors creating a warping feeling condition. I have had good success with Pagid S blues and they seem to be basically the same application i.e. street and some track. My first setup was with stock pads with ate which disintegrated the pads in about 1/4 of the day becuase it is so tight and didn't have great cooling. I then flushed with ate gold and went with the pagid S great pad for comprimise. If you break them in right they don't squeel. They last a full track day and have more left over. The rotors will wear quicker of course however. Now I am sick and have cup ducts, 14" stoptechs stainless lines, SRF, and pagid orange all around. Driving on the street is ok but they do require a little warm up. Also because of the increased friction I found that the ABS freaks out basically allowing me to lock the fronts-but I guess when the abs kicks anyways it does that. It would be interesting if I could flash the abs computer with a gt3 program. I have to talk to Bob about the issue. When I flush my brakes again, maybe this week, I will go motul 600 as you can't beat the price and the boiling points are pretty close to SRF at least dry, the wet is somewhat close but for most people it's not a big deal, especially if you flush say once or more a year. I also use the motive power bleeder and always bleed the clutch. Another issue I noted with the srf there is almost not enough with 1 can when you do a complete flush.
