Can you help with what is the real street prices for say a 2000 911 C4 coupe? And the same for a 2001? What I am seeing is a huge range $10K or better and the only difference I can see is the color and the interior the car has, mileage also seems to have a lot to bear, but if the color is green with tan interior low miles if will go for $10K less then say a black or silver car. I live in the S.F. Bay Area and this also seems to be a higher priced market, true or not?

I also read somewhere that in 2001 Porsche didn't make a lot of C4 since they used them for the new TT, this doesn't make sense to me is this true?

The C4 was made in smaller numbers than the C2 in all years. Color is big, and if this is your first Porsche then what you really need to look at is options. In a Porsche just about EVERYTHING is an option and a bare 996 and a fully loaded 996 can be 10k difference in price. So things like full leather, vs, partial leather. the seats, manual, full power, heated, comfort, sport, gt3...all seat options. suspension, wheels, 17 vs 18....aero kit, litronic lights, audio, hi fi audio, cd player, cd changer, navigation...all these things can affect the resale value.
